Education

Education is probably the most important issue concerning the success of Camden County and New Jersey itself. The quality of our education will determine the basis for success in future generations pool of potential Leaders, Business owners, workers, parents, and teachers. With that said, Education will always be a high priority in any budget receiving a sizeable portion of the available funding. Funding has never been an issue in any county in New Jersey, but rather in the effective planning and allocation of those funds.

Camden County needs to come to the forefront, and set the example for the other counties in passing real education reform. We can start by putting the power back in the hands of the parents and not the system. You accomplish this by allowing parents to take their property tax dollars in form of a voucher to any school they want provided that they can ensure transportation for their child if not available through the selected Camden County School. This will encourage local school systems that currently have guaranteed tax revenue to compete for it through real results in providing a quality education.

This is not a new idea and has been mentioned by other candidates in the past. The difference is Jammes Valencia will make this happen. With the help of the people behind him he will be New Jersey’s best advocate for Education Reform.
