Employment

Employment is fast becoming a serious issue in Camden County, and needs to be addressed before we have no one left to govern. New Jersey workers might overlook the highest most progressive tax system in the nation if they only had quality private sector jobs to pay them. A strong Economy can not exist with out private sector producers of goods, services, and most importantly separate source of tax revenue. If the only source of taxes were government employees, and residents receiving some form of government assistance our county would be an unsustainable welfare State.

Private sector employment is only possible with a business friendly environment with few regulations and reasonable tax structure. However, private businesses worst enemy is the government unions that lobby corrupt politicians for outlandish benefits and wages. This causes a vicious cycle that attracts more government workers, which increases burden on private workers tax bills, which in turn forces more private workers to become government workers, or leave the county or state all together.

At the same time Jammes Valencia is a staunch supporter of private company run unions and collective bargaining as these are self regulating, and only hurt the business or the employees involved. If a private union attains an overly costly benefit package the business will go under or be forced into layoffs. The other side of the coin the business provides a below standard compensation package will experience high employee turnover rates as the workers will find better employment somewhere else. Government unions will continuously force politicians into unreasonable benefits as their voting block power increases almost as fast as the increased load on the taxpayers.

Well its time we put TAXPAYERS FIRST!!
